But if you're at the point of thinking, "I need a different way through the meltdowns, or our family doesn’t survive..."

The next meltdown doesn't have to go the same way.

Not a magic fix. Just something to reach for the second it starts so you can change how it ends

A simple 3-step plan to reach for when the storm hits, so you know exactly how to get through it safely, even when your brain goes blank.

Created by Laura Ellis: award-winning educator, parent coach, & mum to neurodivergent twins.

“I was once signed off work sick and prescribed anti-depressants because I couldn't cope with my son's meltdowns.

This is the exact tool that started to change things for my family.” (Laura Ellis, Founder of SENsory Mother)

If you’ve landed here after one those evenings….

The kind where:

• Everything kicked off over toothpaste

• You tried to stay calm — and couldn’t

• You said things you didn’t mean

And now you’re replaying it all in your head, wishing you could take it back.

Pause for a second.

You’re not a bad mum.

You’re a mum whose nervous system just got overwhelmed.

And when that happens?

You don’t respond how you want to.

Not because you don’t care —
but because your brain goes offline.

You simply don’t know what to think, what to say, or what to do.

This might feel familiar…

You know you should stay calm.

You know shouting doesn’t help.

You know consequences in the moment make things worse.

But when it’s actually happening?

You can’t access any of that.

Your child is overwhelmed.
You’re overwhelmed.

And everything escalates fast.

What this looks like in real life:

Your child is escalating.
Your chest is tight.
You can feel yourself about to snap.

Normally?
This is where everything spirals.

But this time…

You don’t have to think.

You grab the sheet.

And it tells you — right there:

“Remember this.”
“Say this.”
“Do this first.”

No guessing.
No overthinking.
Just something steady to guide you.

Even in the middle of it.

The Meltdown OAR™

ORIGIN → ANCHOR →RESPONSE

You don’t need more advice to remember…

You need a practical tool you can actually USE.

No thinking in the moment.
No relying on memory.
No pressure to find the right words.

Something to help you respond like the Mum you want to be.

See how it’s helping other mums:

Exactly what to think, say & do - even when your brain goes blank.

The Meltdown OAR™ is a simple, powerful, one-page response plan designed for one thing:

Helping you stay steady - in the exact moments you normally lose control.

Personalise your OAR™ in under 10 minutes - reach for it every time a storm hits.

When everything kicks off, you’ll know exactly:

✔ What to think - so you don’t spiral
✔ What to say - so things don’t get worse
✔ What to do - to keep you both safe

All on one sheet of paper (or a screenshot on your phone), so you can’t forget.

So instead of getting pulled into the storm and reacting in ways you regret…
you have something to steer you both safely through the storm.

This is not a course.
There’s nothing to learn.
Nothing to complete.
Nothing to “keep up with.”

Before you react → reach for your OAR™.

O - ORIGIN

(This is what you think)

In the intense meltdown moments, it’s natural to focus on what your child is doing, not why they’re doing it.

Origin is the realisation that changes everything: it's not about their behaviour. It's about what's underneath it.

The moment that shifts, it stops feeling like something you need to correct, and starts feeling like something you can actually help them with.

Instead of trying to fix, control and stop the meltdown, you can respond to the need, not the behaviour.

A - ANCHOR

(This is what you say)

You already know shouting doesn't help. Most of us do.

But knowing something in your head and having it ready on your tongue in the moment are two very different things.

Anchor is what you say to yourself when everything in you wants to shout, threaten, or take control instead.

A handful of words, chosen calmly, long before the storm starts. So when it does, you already know exactly what to say.

R - RESPONSE

(This is what you do)

Meltdowns don't give you time to work out what to do.

Response means you’ve got your plan ready before you need it.

A clear next step, and the one after that, decided in a calm moment so you don't have to find it in a chaotic one.

Nothing to remember under pressure. Just a simple plan to follow.

What this actually changes

With The Meltdown OAR™ you’ll feel:

More in control of yourself — even if your child isn’t calm yet.

Clear about what to think, say & do - so you don’t make things worse.

Relief as the meltdowns become shorter & less intense - so they stop dominating your family’s life.

Proud of how you handled it - so that you can stop feeling like you’re a bad mum.

More confident facing the next meltdown - with less dread of what’s coming.

This isn’t about being perfect.

It’s about responding in a way you feel good about - even in hard moments.

You don’t need this someday.

You’ll need this the next time it happens.

And that could be tonight.

What you get:

1) 7-minute walkthrough video

2) Printable Mini Guide

3) Your own personalised one-page OAR™ plan

4) Lifetime access

Why this works

The Meltdown OAR™ is built from the first steps of the full regulation framework: The PAUSE Method™

PAUSE shows parents how to:

• Recognise escalation earlier

• Notice their own stress signals sooner

• Interrupt reactive patterns

• Respond intentionally instead of automatically

But you don’t need the whole framework right now.

You need something that helps in the moment you’re in.

That’s what this is.

One small purchase.

A huge change for your family.

No overwhelm.

A note from me

When things were at their worst in our house, I was signed off sick. Prescribed anti-depressants. I couldn't function at home or at work.

I knew I loved my son. I knew I didn't want to shout.

But every time he "kicked off," I thought my job was to correct it. Point out what he should be doing differently. Feed him a script. Double down on the rules.

So I got louder. More threatening. Zero tolerance, so nothing would slip through.

It didn't work. My rage grew. I felt unsafe in my own home.

I thought it was all down to his behaviour.

It wasn't. It was mine too.

When I finally got support, from a teacher-turned-parent-coach, mum to neurodivergent kids herself, I realised I could write down three simple things and actually remember them mid-storm.

Not 974 things. Three.

The next meltdown didn't stop. But it didn't get louder. It didn't get hostile. I didn't feel locked in a battle with my son.

I felt proud of how I'd handled it.

This is The Meltdown OAR™. Not theory. The exact three things that changed it for us, so you can reach for them tonight too.
