“We’re Not Alone”: What Happens When Parents Finally Feel Understood
This week, I welcomed a new group of parents into my 5-week coaching programme. As always, our first session began with what I affectionately call "the sharey bit"—yes, even the slightly awkward introductions!
But that first moment of opening up? That's where the magic happens.
There were tears. Nods of recognition. Long sighs of relief.
And most importantly—there was connection.
For so many parents, it's the first time they've sat in a room (even a virtual one) where they don't have to explain or defend themselves. A space where no one's judging. Just listening. Just getting it.
One thing became clear very quickly: these parents aren't alone.
Because nearly every single person voiced the same 5 challenges:
Explosive reactions that feel completely out of proportion
Struggling to stay calm when their child's panic takes over
Overthinking every meltdown and fearing what it means for the future
Wondering if "giving in" is making things worse
Feeling torn between setting boundaries and avoiding blow-ups
Sound familiar?
These are the exact struggles that inspired me to create Five Days to Change—a bite-sized, practical course that helps parents begin to shift from overwhelm to clarity.
Each day tackles one of these core struggles, helping you move from a place of doubt to one of calm, confident action. Because when you understand what's really going on beneath the surface, you can stop blaming yourself—and start moving forward.
So, I'll ask you the same question I asked my group this week:
✨ If you could take back control in just these five areas… how much lighter would life feel?
If that resonates, I'd love to hear from you. Hit reply and share where you're feeling stuck right now.

You're not alone in this. And you've got what it takes.
