1:1 support for mums of children with BIG emotions (PDA, autistic, ADHD or still waiting for answers)

Eight weeks. You and me. Your family.

PAUSE Partnership™ is my 8-week 1:1 programme. We take The PAUSE Method™ and work through it together, applied to your child, your home and your hardest moments, until you feel steady and sure of what to do.

Book your place

£1,300, or 2 monthly payments of £695.

You’ve done the reading.

You’ve paid for the assessments, the therapies, the appointments.

You’ve sat in rooms where someone told you what your child needs, then gone home and had to work out how to actually do it, on your own, in the middle of a meltdown.

You’re walking on eggshells. Your patience ran out months ago.

And the worst part is the replay at night. The words that came out before you could stop them. The promise to do better tomorrow.

It isn’t that you don’t care enough. It isn’t even that you haven’t found the right expert. It’s that nobody has been beside you while you change what happens at home.

It’s not about fixing your child. It’s about equipping you.

Everything changed for me when I turned the spotlight round. Away from fixing my son’s behaviour, and onto how I was responding.

That’s not blame. It’s the most hopeful thing I know. Because how you respond is the one thing you can change today, and our children feel it when we do.

That’s what we work on together.

The PAUSE Method™

Five steps, applied to your real week

PAUSE™ is my 5-step method for neurodivergent meltdowns. On its own, you learn the steps. In PAUSE Partnership™, we put them to work on what’s actually happening in your home, week by week.

1You bring what happenedThe meltdown, the morning, the moment you wish you could redo
2We unpick it togetherThrough the five steps of PAUSE™
3You leave with a planFor the week ahead, built for your child
4I’m there as you try itDaily check-ins, Monday to Thursday
Step 1

Physiology

Understand what’s happening in your child’s body when emotions take over: a body in distress, not a choice.

In our sessions: we take this week’s hardest meltdown and work out what your child’s body needed in that moment. Then we build your in-the-moment plan for the next one.

Step 2

Awareness

Understand YOURSELF in all of this, and stay steady even when your child is spiralling.

In our sessions: we look at the moments that pushed you past your limit this week, what was going on for you, and how to ground yourself next time it happens in your house.

Step 3

Unhelpful Thoughts

Stop the fear and guilt that’s driving your reaction.

In our sessions: we catch the thoughts that hit you mid-meltdown (“am I giving in?”, “how will they ever hold down a job if they treat their own mum like this?”) and work through them together, so they stop running the show.

Step 4

Stress & Demands

Change what’s pushing your child over their tolerance threshold.

In our sessions: we map your real week (the school run, homework, the after-school crash) and decide together what to drop, shift or soften.

Step 5

Establish Boundaries

Parent intentionally and hold appropriate boundaries, without starting a war.

In our sessions: we plan the conversations you’ve been dreading and the boundaries that matter most in your family. Then we look at how they went, and adjust.

Who it’s for

PAUSE Partnership™ is for you if…

  • Your child’s big emotions are shaping every day at home
  • You’ve already spent time and money looking for answers, and you’re tired of being sent away with a report
  • You’re ready to look at your own part in it, kindly and honestly
  • You want someone in your corner for long enough to see real change, not just one call
  • You’d rather work it through with someone than study alone
What’s included

Everything you need, with me beside you

6

Six 90-minute 1:1 sessions

On Zoom. Weekly for the first 4 weeks, then every fortnight for the last 4. Ninety minutes, so there’s room to say it all and still leave with a plan.

♡

Daily check-ins, Monday to Thursday

Send me a voice note or message whenever something comes up: a tricky morning, a meltdown you want to unpick, a win you want to share.

I check in every day, Monday to Thursday, and reply with guidance you can use straight away. Anything sent over the weekend, I’ll pick up on Monday.

P

The PAUSE Method™, yours for life

You get it as soon as you join. No need to work through it all at once. You’ll watch one part between our sessions, starting with part 1 before we first meet, so each time we talk we’re putting it into practice in your family.

If studying on your own isn’t for you, that’s fine. We’ll cover it together.

How the 8 weeks work

Close support first, then room to grow

Weeks 1 to 4 · weekly sessions

Understand and steady

We get to know what’s really happening for your child and for you. We work through PAUSE™ applied to your real moments, and you start to feel steadier when things kick off.

Weeks 5 to 8 · fortnightly sessions

Practise and settle in

More space between sessions, so you can try things in real life. We look at what’s working, adjust what isn’t, and build your confidence to keep going without me.

What changes

What changes in you

You understand what’s driving the meltdowns, so you stop taking them personally
You know what to do in the moment, instead of freezing or reacting
You hold boundaries without fearing you’re “giving in”
You feel steady, and your child feels it too
In their words

From mums I’ve supported

“

Hugely beneficial, not only for bespoke advice, but also for extra support during a particularly challenging time. Laura really cheered me on, and that gave me the strength to keep going!

Emily
“

Laura navigates complex and emotional situations with such grace and care, making you feel heard, validated, and supported… a safe space where no question feels too small or too difficult.

Heidi
“

By supporting my son rather than reacting, I can help prevent situations (and my own response!) from escalating… I now feel equipped with practical, compassionate responses that I can use in the moment.

Sarah
An honest word

This isn’t for you if…

  • You’re looking for someone to fix your child for you
  • You want a quick fix in a week
  • You’re not ready to look at your own responses yet
  • You’re in crisis and need urgent clinical or medical help (please reach out to your GP or local services first)

If that’s where you are right now, that’s OK. The PAUSE Method™ or The PAUSE Café™ might be a better place to start.

Meet Laura

Hi, I’m Laura.

I’m an educator, parent coach and mum to neurodivergent twins, and I know how heavy this can feel.

After 19+ years in education, most recently specialising in SEN, I created The PAUSE Method™ as something steady to come back to when things feel messy, loud and unpredictable.

Everything changed for me when I turned the spotlight round. Away from fixing his behaviour, and onto how I was responding.

PAUSE Partnership™ is me walking alongside you while you do the same.

Questions

Good questions

Do I need to have done The PAUSE Method™ first?

No. You get it as soon as you join, and you watch it a part at a time between our sessions, starting with part 1 before we first meet. If self-study isn’t for you, we’ll cover it together.

How old does my child need to be?

It doesn’t matter. PAUSE Partnership™ is about you: how you understand what’s happening, how you respond and how you look after yourself, whatever age your child is.

Can my partner join the sessions?

Yes. Your partner is welcome to join your sessions. It can make a big difference when you’re both working from the same page.

What if I need to miss a session?

Life with our children is unpredictable, I know. Just give me 24 hours’ notice and we’ll rebook.

I’m not in the UK. Can I still join?

Yes. Sessions are on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere. They run in UK hours, and we’ll find a time that works for both of us.

How do the payments work?

You can pay £1,300 in full, or in 2 monthly payments of £695. If you choose 2 payments, the first is when you book and the second is after our fourth session (about a month in).

Is this therapy?

No. This is coaching. It doesn’t replace medical, diagnostic or therapy support, and it works well alongside them.

What happens after the 8 weeks?

You keep The PAUSE Method™ for life. If you’d like ongoing support, The PAUSE Café™ is there for you.

Want to get to know me before committing to 8 weeks? Start with Your First PAUSE™, one 60-minute call for £49.50. We’ll focus on what’s feeling hardest right now, and you’ll leave with simple, practical steps you can start using straight away. It’s worthwhile on its own, whatever you decide next.
